Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch annual Blitz Day helps provide 8 ramps for local seniors

The Council on Older Adults was, once again, a grateful recipient of the compassionate spirit of many volunteers who generously constructed 8 handicap ramps for our clients Friday, March 24th and Saturday March 25th during Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch‘s annual volunteer Blitz Day.

Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch was founded in 1995 and was initially a one day mission project involving hundreds of church volunteers who would blitz a neighborhood with acts of service, construction projects and an eclectic array of ministries to bring comfort and compassion to people in need. The event has grown beyond the bounds of Fayetteville as many churches across the country celebrate this annual opportunity to serve their neighbors in a tangible way.

In 2007, Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch became a non-profit and provides additional services to those in need in our community.

Snyder Baptist Church helped make local seniors’ houses more accessible by giving their time to construct the ramps for our seniors in need during FAOIM’s annual Blitz Day (pictured below).

Welcome to our website! The Council on Older Adults was established in 1968 as a non-profit organization and forty-eight years later we remain committed to our original mission of helping older adults living in Cumberland County maintain their independence at home with dignity.
