Welcome to our website! The Cumberland County Council on Older Adults was established in 1968 as a non-profit organization. Forty-six years later we remain committed to our mission of helping older adults living in Cumberland County maintain their independence at home with dignity.

We seek to fulfill our mission by:

  • Serving as a community resource for information important to older adults and their caregivers,
  • Providing home and community-based supportive services designed to assist older adults with activities of daily living,
  • Partnering with other organizations to promote the creation, coordination and expansion of services to assist the older adult population, and
  • Advocating on behalf of older adults, individually and/or collectively, regarding matters and issues affecting them.

The Cumberland County Council on Older Adults offers a variety of home and community-based programs at no cost to eligible recipients. Each program is unique and offers services and/or volunteer opportunities which support our mission.

You may be an older adult or the caregiver of an older adult seeking information about available resources; or perhaps you or someone you know may be interested in volunteering with one of our programs – either way give us a call and we will be pleased to assist you.
